High School Football America

Butler won the King of the Hill trophy Friday night by beating arch-rival and nationally-ranked Independence 31-24 to close-out the regular season and claim the #1 overall seed for the upcoming Class 4AA playoffs. The Charlotte Observer reports it's the first time that Independence head coach Tom Knotts had lost to a Mecklenberg County team in 17 years.
